I really believe that everything that happens to us in life lands somewhere in the body. Yoga is the exploration of the physical and emotional state of being and helps us keep in the present moment.
I am inquisitive. I LOVE to get to the seed of things. I love sharing what I know and bringing people together.
I am addicted to self-inquiry. My favourite saying is “When we know more, we can do more” (adapted from Maya Angelou).
I found Yoga in my late 20’s and loved it!! We had an on-and-off relationship. In my 30’s, I returned home from travelling, settled into Husband, Mortgage, Children and Dog – Yoga became my lifejacket.
In casual conversation, a friend asked me the question – “Why not become a Yoga Teacher?” It was a pivotal point. The first of many on this YOGA JOURNEY.
For the first time, I asked myself “Why not? What’s stopping me?”.
I did my Teacher Training with Tamara Williams at Yoga NRG (Power Yoga – a more dynamic form of traditional Yoga). Before I had even finished the course, I coincidently ran into my Pregnancy Yoga Teacher who was leaving her practice and pretty-much handed it over to me.
During my 10 years of teaching, I have grown through some lows and now I’m experiencing some exceptional highs!
I have learnt many different styles of Yoga, how to read the energy of the group and how to respond to the current moment. All of that practice has been invaluable. I am super-confident at leading a group and unapologetic of being MYSELF!!
